I take photos of everyday buildings and structures. Invariably I do so from the side of a street or pathway, a brief stop on the way elsewhere. What catches my eye then could be a form, a shape, a configuration, an arrangement, a flourish, a variation on a motif. Almost always there is also that momentary play of light and shadow.
I hope to approximate a bit of those stops in my photos. With each one there is the scene as I remember it. In each a trace of joy and wonder. Beyond that, each also asks what commonplace buildings and structures can say about us, about who we are and how we live.
